Yes, it’s normal! The light residue comes from the natural diatomaceous earth used to make the coasters. Simply wipe them with a damp cloth before use, and they’re ready to go. Minor variations, such as small white dots, are natural and do not affect their quality or performance.

How do I clean my Stone Coasters?

Wipe your coasters weekly with a vinegar-water mixture and allow them to air dry. For stains, gently scrub under running water with a sponge and a clear, non-coloured dishwashing liquid, then rinse well. Only if the stain remains, lightly sand the area using the included sanding tool.

How durable are Natureva Stone Coasters?

The coasters’ absorbent power keeps surfaces dry and protected, especially from water, condensation and hot cups. Avoid coloured liquids, as they may stain. With care, including light sanding, they’ll last for years.

They’re doing the job beautifully

I bought this set of Natureva Home stone coasters mainly to protect my living room furniture, especially the coffee table from water marks, and I have to say, they’re doing the job beautifully.The design is sleek but still has a bit of personality with the unique shapes and soft graphite color, which fits in really well with the rest of my décor. They don’t scream for attention but still add a nice, modern touch to the space. More importantly, they really do absorb moisture quickly. You can actually see the condensation from a glass disappear in a matter of seconds. No more soggy napkins or water rings left behind, which is exactly what I was after.There is a little setup involved, you need to stick the small rubber pads on the bottom of each coaster to avoid scratching your furniture. It took a few minutes, nothing too tedious, and the grip they add is totally worth it. The texture of the coasters is interesting, sort of smooth but with a slight chalky feel, and yes, they’re quite delicate. I wouldn’t toss them around carelessly, but they feel solid enough for daily use.If you want something functional that looks good and helps keep your surfaces spotless, these are a great pick.

They do handle a lot of condensation. It’s great with drinks that are partly frozen or full of ice cubes.
